Water Well Drilling: 3 Pipe Selection Checks
Start with the drill string already fitted to your rig and the requirements of the planned bore. A useful enquiry identifies the existing components, the dimensions you need and the documents required for review. Use the checks below to prepare a clear specification before discussing a proposed configuration.
1. Rig and connection
Provide the rig make and model, thread designation and details of the mating components. Include the adaptor or stabilizer connection where these form part of the requested assembly. A drawing, part reference or clear photographs can help resolve an unclear description.
Matching a pipe diameter alone does not confirm a connection match. Ask for the proposed thread and joint dimensions to be reviewed against the actual drill string.
2. Pipe geometry
State the outside diameter, wall thickness, required length and quantity. Keep pipe body dimensions separate from joint dimensions when preparing a drawing or comparing listed options. Describe the planned application and relevant operating requirements so the enquiry can be assessed in context.
Consult the listed specification tables and confirm any missing dimensions with our team before ordering. Do not infer an operating limit from diameter or wall thickness alone.
3. Inspection and documents
